For over 2000 years churches, large and small, have been built on what seems like almost every corner of every city in every state, in this country, and throughout most countries worldwide. Pastors and ministers in all those churches have preached and expounded every week on the contents of only one book – the Bible, without ever running out of material to speak on. All these pastors in all these churches, week after week, over all these years speaking to so many assembled people attending and supporting the churches, can only happen because people’s lives have been changed for the better and they want to know more about how and why. They hear about a better way of life and realize that’s the life they want to live.
All through our lives most of us live our lives doing what we feel we need to do for the welfare of our family; our children, spouses, and/or our parents. It seems we are always doing for others. But your salvation and the assurance of heaven for you is the most important decision you will make on this earth for yourself. Make it a priority because though you may live a long time on this earth, eternity is much, much longer.
I have heard and read and believe it’s probably true, that the older a person becomes, the less likely he is to accept the gospel. If you have been blessed with a number of years on this earth, we pray you will beat the odds. But time is of the essence. (Hebrews 3:8,9) states, So, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts….” When someone hears the gospel message one of two things happen. It either works to save them or it hardens their heart. When you hear the gospel preached, through whoever is speaking, it is His (God’s) message to you.
It is never too late, but always better sooner than later and better later than not at all.
The more times you hear of God’s love and His offer of salvation and do not accept its message the harder your heart becomes and the less likely you are to accept the gospel.
Remember, there have been ‘billions’ of people over the last 2000 + years who have made the decision to hear, understand and accept the gospel message. The accompanying photos are only a minute example of such gatherings of those of the same mind. You are not alone!
